Bus Mechanic / Diesel Technician
Columbus, OH | $30–$40+/hr DOE | 1st Shift | Monday–Friday
Work on good equipment. Take your time and fix it right.
We’re looking for a Diesel Mechanic / Bus Mechanic to join a Columbus fleet shop working on Prevost motorcoaches with a heavy mix of Volvo equipment .
You’ll handle PMs, inspections, brakes, suspension, electrical, emissions, A/C, and general diesel repairs that keep the fleet safe and rolling.
No in-frame engine work. Engine repairs are primarily bolt-ons like water pumps, turbos, and other components.

This isn't a flat-rate shop where you're racing the clock.
The fleet is well maintained, and the expectation is simple: diagnose the problem, fix it right, and don't cut corners. You won't have someone breathing down your neck trying to push a coach out the door before it's ready.
If you run into something you haven't seen before, ask questions. The owner is hands-on, involved in the operation, and accessible.
Pay & Schedule
Bus experience is great. Truck, trailer, reefer, or heavy-duty experience is welcome. If you're the kind of mechanic who can chase down an electrical or A/C problem, figure out what's wrong, and get it fixed right, let's talk.
