Forklift Mechanic / Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 17.00 to $ 22.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00am)

The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including tune-ups, fluid checks, battery service, and parts replacement.
• Inspect brakes, steering, lifting mechanisms, safety devices, and other critical components.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
• Complete service work orders and accurately document repairs, parts used, and equipment hour-meter readings.
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure necessary parts and tools are available.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair recommendations to customers and management.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Respond to service calls and perform repairs at customer locations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Forklift Mechanic / Technician Qualifications:

• Ability to provide basic personal hand tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy parts and equipment.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work in warehouses, outdoor environments, and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate and work around industrial equipment.
