Job Description
Air-Land Transport Service, Inc. is a small business in Morton, IL. We have been in business for 46 years and have 90 Tractors and over 700 trailers in our fleet.
We are looking for a trailer mechanic to work from 12noon - 8:30pm. Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on trailers, including electrical, mechanical, and structural components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with trailer systems and components
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Complete service requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime for customers
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
- Weld and solder components as needed for repairs
- Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and rotation
Experience:
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably with trailer repair experience
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems and components
- Proficient in welding and soldering techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
