Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with diagnoses including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, and generalized debility
Perform medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and comprehensive patient health assessments including vital signs monitoring
Execute wound care procedures including dressing changes and setup of aseptic and sterile procedure trays
Collect and label specimens including capillary, throat, urine (UA clean catch), and perform phlebotomy
Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
Float between campuses within the health system as needed

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed); required for all RNs regardless of specialty
No open background check cases permitted; current driver's license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in acute care rehabilitation settings
Familiarity with post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patient populations
