Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every 3rd weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation department, serving patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility, including post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical cases
• Perform clinical assessments including vital signs, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and patient health questionnaire and allergy history
• Perform specimen collection procedures including phlebotomy, capillary draws, throat swabs, urine clean catch, and proper specimen labeling
• Perform dressing changes and set up aseptic and sterile procedure trays
• Handle telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed; float capability across all system campuses is required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Acute Care Rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for patients with neurological diagnoses, spinal cord injuries, or post-surgical rehabilitation needs
• Familiarity with patient ratios of 1:6 in a high-acuity inpatient setting
