Role Overview

Apply your scientific judgment to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. Your expertise will inform the standards used to assess research problems, analytical methods, statistical reasoning, and evidence-based conclusions. This is an ongoing talent pool for future project assignments, not a guarantee of an active opening at the time of application.

Key Responsibilities

• Create research problems from your field, including the system, data, assumptions, and reference answer used to assess model responses.
• Evaluate AI-written analyses and interpretations, including whether methods fit the research question, statistics support the stated claim, and conclusions follow from the evidence.
• Identify responses that appear internally consistent but would not meet peer-review standards because of study design, sample limitations, or measurement constraints.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a life, physical, or social science, with research experience.
• Experience designing studies and interpreting data independently, recent enough to clearly explain the decisions you made.
• Clear written communication, as the work requires explaining scientific reasoning.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and raising unclear instructions when needed.

Work Terms

Compensation
